Hi, I took care of rescued wildlife for WIRES in Australia and have a few tips about screaming birds:

1.  It is better to own more than one if they get along (provided cage is large enough, gets out at least once a day, has sunlight, etc.).  One bird demands all your personal attention, but with two, they help keep each other occupied.  Birds are naturally social and you shouldn't set yourself up to be everything to your bird.

2.  The DOMINANT bird is allowed by the other birds to be the loudest.  The others will be quieter to allow that bird to make the noise. We often used "quiet dominants" in the aviaries as these would keep the other birds quieter.

3.  If you have different heights for the birds' cages, the highest bird will be considered the dominant bird by the others and therefore make the most noise. In nature, parrots sleep in positions of highest ranking to the highest perches and so on down in their pecking order. Dominant birds tend to be the strongest, oldest males but can be the smartest or oldest female or a male and female couple. The one with the best talking or "people" skills is often recognized by the others as a dominant, too.
So I recommend re-arranging their cages so the one on top is the one whose screeching/noise is the easiest to tolerate and the others will quiet down quite a bit.

Speaking of conures... I really need to give mine away... I LOVE my 'Lolita' (Nandey) but as of late... my job has increased and a lot of time is consumed as well as work I have to take home which entails writing and well... she DEMANDS a lot of attention and as you know... she's very loud and at times I can't work due to the attention I have to give her and the distractions due to her noise... I’m also getting complaints from neighbors....
 
I love her very much, I've had her for 2½ years... she's very playful and loves soft speaking females... however, she kind of fears kids... LOLOLOL
 
I need to this ASAP and also make sure she goes to a good home where she'll be loved and taken care of properly...
